Shipping

Our comprehensive network of national and international movers means that customers are provided with the best possible choices, service and costs for delivery anywhere in the world.

Shipping Methods

The shipping method depends on the origin and destination and volume of your move.

  • Air - If you have just a few boxes or bags or need your things fast then airfreight is probably the best option but might be more expensive. It is also a great way to get your essential items as soon as you arrive at your new destination while you wait for your container.
  • Sea - Shipments are normally conveyed in steel shipping containers (either 20′ or 40′ in length) which carry your consignment. Containers are shipped with reliable shipping lines providing modern equipment and vessels.  The containers remain unopened until they arrive at their destination. Sea freight is the most cost-effective option for shipping anything from a few items – Less than Container Load (LCL) to a Full Container Load (FCL).
  • Land - For destinations within Australia, your items will be transported via road or rail.  If you are not in a hurry to receive your items ask if a part load is available as you might benefit from better rates.

Your Trans International Moving Consultant will discuss with you the best shipping method for your move, book the container, coordinate the shipping, collect all appropriate inbound and outbound documentation, and coordinate with our destination partner to make sure your household goods are delivered in the best time as possible.

Car/Vehicle Shipping

If you’re looking to ship a car, motorcycle or other motor vehicle then your Trans International Moving Consultant will help advise you and provide a quote.

Your vehicle may be transported on its own (sole use container) or as part of your full household shipment (shared container).

Your Trans International Moving Consultant will advise you on the current legislation for your chosen destination country and help you through all the documentation and requirements to meet that legislation, for example – prior to shipping a motor vehicle to Australia the owner must obtain a “Vehicle Import Approval” permit and evidence 12 months’ ownership and consecutive use.

This is just one of the strict customs and excise and quarantine rules that surround importing goods and products into Australia, but your removal specialist will guide you through ALL the legalities required and advise you on the correct documentation and processes.

*Please be aware that it is not possible to ship motor vehicles into certain countries – Please ask us for more information
